Glock Pure Tungsten Guide Rod - First let me start I haven't fired it up since installing it. I don't see any problem with that. Now for the good stuff. When I was looking at this standard tungsten guide rod, the main question I had was how much it weighed versus the standard tungsten. So I'm running an extended uncatch for the 34 Gen 5. The standard extended uncoach weighs 2oz with a 13# spring. Pure Extended Uncapped weighs 3.6oz with 13# spring. Yes you can tell the difference between the 2. Just to let you know that when using a 13# spring the weight of the guide rod may not lock the press onto the check. I can't see it causing any problems under normal operation, but if I point the gun vertically and pull back enough to unlock the slide. It will not lock back. The simple solution is a heavier spring. I use this setup on USPSA carry optics. I have an SRO on the slide that affects the weight.

Seems like a cheap joke in comparison due to the huge difference in stock weight. The stock has a much better look and feel with this impressive weight and shiny metal looks beat to plastic nubs! I had some stovepipe but only when the kid was shooting it which was probably due to a lame wrist because it never happened to me. Very happy with this upgrade and highly recommend!

5 stars. Best guide rod and spring I could buy. Super super fast delivery time. What I ask is when will it be available for the 21st?

Glock Tungsten Guide Rod. Any Good ?

Bought a captured 18lb for my G23 G5 (brand new, no shots fired). Got my (first) Glock yesterday, got half of my upgrade order today... went home and installed the guide rod with the beaver tail. Reassembled, and rack tested it. The slide does not retract all the way, stopping about a quarter of an inch from the end of the barrel. 4 stars because I don't know if it's because of the heavy spring. If I rack it and let it fly again, it will slide out, but under normal/standard racks I have to slide it back.

Item arrived, perfect for 34.4". Captured with a 13# spring, it weighs 2.7 oz. My 34.4 frame went up [with tungsten putty and shot up to 8.3 oz. The guide rod has a perfect balance feel. Good weight. And the balance, will take it to the range to see how it goes. The gun runs 30 oz.

GL34, Gen 5 with 13# spring with pure tungsten guide roses (captured) installed. No optic. Great weight gain and like other reviews, when checking the press, make sure it's back on battery as the 13# spring is light...other than that, it works great, returns to target quickly. In the event I experimented with the suppressor height sights I later mounted an optic and Timoni Alpha competition trigger…. Game changer.

(Installed on Glock G19/G5/MOS w/ Holosun 508T). Huge difference in muzzle-rise, fill-recoil, target retrievability and I've never had a cycling problem (with 115grn/150grn ammo). Now all my firearms have tungsten guide-rods

Double Diamond Extended Tungsten Guide Rod

Reading one of the reviews, I was afraid it wouldn't fit, but it fit my G19 Gen 5 perfectly.
